Natural Honey – foe or a friend?



Natural honey has a myriad of benefits. It has the potential to improve your health without distress, and nearly non-existent side effects. You will find that with all-natural honey there are various medicinal benefits, nutritional benefits, and it makes wonderful recipes taste heavenly.

Honey is an extremely nutritional substance that provides a variety of helpful vitamins that will keep your body healthy.

Nectar is mainly made of sucrose and water, but honey bees have added much more nutrition to this nectar to make it what we know and use today.

The bees have added various chemical compounds and enzymes. Needless to say, this then inverts the sucrose into fructose and glucose. The water is then evaporated out and the result, Honey, doesn’t spoil.
This means that it’s a source of crabs for everyone, and it’s about eighty per cent of all-natural sugar.

The natural sugar is fructose it gets its sweetened taste that compares if not exceeds regular table sugar.

Honey then has water, but less water in honey means a higher quality of honey. This is because most of the water in honey should be evaporated, and by this natural process, the finest honey would be the one with the least amount of water left. Under Prevention Food Adulteration (PFA) Rules, 1955 FSSAI prescribes moisture content not more than 25% by mass.


The rest of the makeup percentage of honey is two per cent of minerals, pollen, proteins, and vitamins. You’ll find Vitamin B6(Pyridoxine), niacin, riboflavin, thiamin, pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5), and even amino acids in honey. There is also copper, calcium, magnesium, iron, manganese, phosphorus, zinc, potassium, and sodium.
